WILDLIFE OF THE SOUND OF HARRIS (Boat Based)

from 60.00

Our Sound of Harris wildlife trips will allow you to experience the varied marine life and stunning scenery of the Hebrides.

In the course of the trip, you will be guided through the different marine habitats of the Sound  by our skipper / marine scientist and learn about some of the notable species present and their respective life histories.

The boat is equipped with 3D sonar, underwater cameras and seabed sampler which enable guests to view the marine habitat from above and below the water. As opportunities arise, otter, seals, whales, sharks and varied bird life may be observed at relatively close quarters.

The route taken on any given day will be dependent on the weather conditions and tide. Usual distance traveled will be in the order of 15 - 20 nautical miles.

The boat will travel quickly between features of interest while stopping to pause, observe and record marine life as opportunities arise.

All trips are determined by the weather, tide and pricing based on minimum of 4 booked passengers. Smaller parties welcome.

Therefore, please Contact Us before booking to establish which dates we plan to run Wildlife of the Sound of Harris.
